“Les Héritières” is a musical project created in June 2021 by Mustapha Amokrane and Nassim Kouti during the inauguration of Cheikha Rimitti Square in Barbès (Paris). It brings together four female singers and performers (Cheikha Hajla, Nawel Ben Kraiem , Souad Asla , Samira Brahmia) from different artistic universes combining their own songs and the musical and poetic heritage that Rimitti has bequeathed.
A unique interaction between the new generation of North African artists and musicians who use the musical tools of their time with the spirit which was the source of what we call “Raï Music”.
